Today's highly competitive worldwide economy demands more productive machinery, systems and processes. The Visi-Trak® sensor assembly consists of a specially modified rod (piston rod or tail rod) and a non-contacting magnetic transducer. This all digital device provides real-time feedback of shot cylinder position and velocity for accurate process monitoring and precise shot control. The fact that it is incorporated into the shot cylinder eliminates mechanical wear as well as false feedback often associated with externally mounted sensors.
How It Works

The Visi-Trak ® Branded Sensor's output is a square wave, digital quadrature signal. The faster the rod travels, the faster the sensor updates. When used in conjunction with the FasTrak2™ High Speed Data Acquisition Board, the result is Position Based Data Acquisition, the most accurate method for measuring position and velocity of a die casting machine shot cylinder.
